I took this off one of the headlines on comcast.net and "who will earn more?" is the title they gave it. I ask.....does it matter? Below it you will find an article "Find out how much you are worth". Do you really think you are worth how much money you have? Sadly a lot of people do.
Just another problem with this world I guess. Hopefully we can all teach our kids the real reason and purpose of life. And God will protect them from thinking that money makes them successful.
So true.the world sure does measure success by how much we make. It leaves us parents with a lot to prepare them for and a lot to undue on a daily basis as this kind of junk fills their heads.
ReplyDeleteI wholeheartedly agree! I want Finn to learn to measure the the world in quality time spent, the beauty of nature, and fruits of the spirit and not in money or success or good looks!
ReplyDeleteI love your heart, Amber!
Amen! What an important truth to teach our kids. May we prayfully raise them in a way that guides them to the true source of contentment and peace instead of the worlds standards of success!
ReplyDeleteA great lesson - not just for our kids, but for me as well. Especially since I so desperately want a house of my own and the only thing that stands in my way is money. Sometimes it is hard not to get caught up in wanting more money... In my prayers today, I was asking for a house (again). I said something silly like, "That is all I ask for." And then it hit me - once I get a house, I will be asking God for more. I need to refocus on that contentment goal I set for New Years!
ReplyDeleteWell said!
ReplyDeleteThe golf pro kid won't make very much. I've seen him putt.
ReplyDeleteAmen!!
