So here I am again on another "diet". Honestly it is not really that hard. It is pretty basic and there are tasty things to eat. The hardest part for me is to not slather my meat in some sort of sauce. Or layer it with cheese. I haven't really felt that hungry so that is nice. Part me wonders if it is even working. But 13 days goes by fast and tomorrow will be the last of the hard days. After church lunch. Yesterday we had home group and that was ReaLLy hard. And today I accomplished not eating any of the birthday cake.
What else?? Well Ava is now able to wear some pig tails! It is the cutest thing and she seems to be very proud herself.

Ava is also enjoying her Friday play dates with "wear-es" (Charis). It has been a pleasure watching them play together and seeing what there little minds come up with.

Dallas is just a great little guy! He has been a few weeks ago he found this backpack and decided to wear it ALL day. That included when he had to take a nap! He is also taking on that big brother role like a champ. He loves playing with his little Norah Bean.

*and just so you know they did not play in that box with plastic for long ;) And were supervised the whole time.

Norah is just the best! I don't I could ask for a better baby. She hasn't been napping well these days, but for the most part she is happy. Still not crawling and mommy is just fine with that! She does scoot a lot though. The other day I went to take something to the kitchen and I heard her starting to cry. I ran to my room to get her and I couldn't see her. She had scooted under my bed!!

And then we have the Reeser! Reeser is a nickname we have had since she was very little. It is cute when I here her friends calling her by that name too. Well in school they are learning about syllables and Reese has been a little upset that she is the only one in our family that has only 1 syllable. So she has asked me to permanently change her name to Reeser! What a doll!

And then there is the Man of the house. I love having such a handy guy around. I am so thankful for what he has learned and his willingness to tackle some projects. We are in the middle of making another room downstairs. I would love for Norah to have her own room, so he is trying to make that happen for me. Boy do I love this guy!

Psalm 56

In God I Trust

56:1 Be gracious to me, O God, for man tramples on me; all day long an attacker oppresses me;
2 my enemies trample on me all day long, for many attack me proudly.
3 When I am afraid,I put my trust in you.
4 In God, whose word I praise,in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?
5 All day long they injure my cause; all their thoughts are against me for evil.
6 They stir up strife, they lurk;they watch my steps,as they have waited for my life.
7 For their crime will they escape? In wrath cast down the peoples, O God!
8 You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book?9 Then my enemies will turn backin the day when I call. This I know, that God is for me.
10 In God, whose word I praise,in the Lord, whose word I praise,
11 in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me?
12 I must perform my vows to you, O God;I will render thank offerings to you.
13 For you have delivered my soul from death, yes, my feet from falling, that I may walk before Godin the light of life.

Lord let me never take my eyes off You. Whatever you are doing here you are in control and I trust in You alone!

Flash Back Friday

I don't think words are even necessary! This picture just ROCKS!

Hello Friends

You have been invited to this because I am now going to be making my blog private. Over the past few weeks Collin and I have been harassed by this guy. In order to protect my kids and family I need to keep my information private. Please keep us in prayer! While this is very scary we have such a wonderful and loving God that we protect us!

Design on a dime??

So the older kids have been sharing a room these days and while it is nice I really feel bad that my son has to sleep in a pink room. It is a lite pink so he probably doesn't even notice, but pink is pink to me. I have been looking for idea on co-ed room and came across this. I love it and thinking I am going to try and do my own version of it.

And I would say stay tuned, but i don't want to disappoint you. THIS will take me awhile to accomplish. And here are some reasons why:

7am up for School

10am Norah naps 2 hours

12pm Ava is down for a nap

2pm Norah naps 2 hours

4-ummmm someone has to cook dinner

7:30 Bed time

And between those lines are lots and lots of other things that go on :)

And again....

Sorry if this is getting annoying. I am just having fun! I think this one is so cute and precious. I think that I should start another blog for these things. That way you are not having to look at headbands and nursing covers all day. Then again you can choose not to look either :) I did however add another link to etsy on the left, so if you do want to buy one you can. NO pressure. But they would make a great shower gift and you can use it as the bow for your present! HA...that sounds like pressure..whoops
Oh, and my friend has a friend that is going to look at my covers. She has a really cute boutique in Seattle called Georgia Blu. Pray that she will like them! Maybe she will like my headbands too...bonus!
One more thing....what colors should I make for both nursing covers and headbands.

If I were pregnant this would happen....

So no I am not pregnant and I won't ever be again.....that's what makes this even more fun! Go here if you want to play too
Madame Zaritska, using her mystical powers, has the following prediction:
The day you deliver, outside will be windy. Your baby will arrive in the mid morning. After a labor lasting approximately 8 hours, your child, a boy, will be born. Your baby will weigh about 5 pounds, 7 ounces, and will be 17-1/2 inches long. This child will have light violet eyes and a little patch of brown hair.

Ava is having a lot of fun being the little model ;) I really like this one. Brown is one of my favorite colors on my kids.

When I grow up I.....

I have still been reading that book "A Woman After Gods Own Heart" and it has been great. The last chapter I read talked about writing down where you want to see yourself in 10 years. That is a big question. I have often talked about it with other people when it relates to family size, but not in life in general. And even bigger than that not in regards to my relationship with Christ. I have been a Christian now for 8 1/2 years. Honestly I have not really read the bible much until this year. I would hear messages and talk about them or go to home groups, but when it came down to me actually doing the work....that was a rare occasion. I often times made excuses for myself and felt justified by others at times. But it wasn't until a few months ago that I new I need to really do something about it. You don't really realize how sinful you really are until you start reading His word. And I am not saying that we should have a beating every time we read it, but once you realize the person you are you can seek forgiveness.
So who do I want to be??

A woman who asks for His leading
Prays Daily-not just for myself
Humble
memorized 10 verses a year (that would be 100 by then)
Teaches her children to obey
Wise
The Proverbs 31 woman -this may take a life time
Seeks His kingdom first
Spirit Lead

Man there is so much more, but I don't know how to put it into words!!

Paying it Forward- you better hurry

I am excited to be a recipient of Heather's Pay it Forward post and I'm even more excited to "pay it forward" here. Here's how it works:I will be receiving an item from Heather.
In the mean time, the first three people to comment on this post that they want to participate, will receive a handmade item from me. I do get 365 days to complete it; I promise to try to not take that long though! The gift is a surprise and I will do my best to tailor it to you.If you are interested, post in the comments here. If you are one of the first three people, then go ahead and post your "Pay it Forward" on your blog. The handmade items do not have to be extensive. Do not feel you need to spend days and days on them. Just do what you can.
Fun, fun! =)

Swagbucks: Free stuff for searching on the web

Hey all! I hear about this from another blog and heck free stuff sounds great! Swagbucks is a search engine powered by Google and Ask.com. The thing that makes it unique is that every so often you win one, three, five or ten "swagbucks" when you search the internet. You accumulate these swagbucks and redeem them for gift cards or other exclusive products. For instance, you can redeem 50 swagbucks and get a $5 Starbucks gift card. And there's virtually no work involved. I just installed the Swagbucks toolbar from the website. Super easy. With normal searching, you can earn a free gift card in a month or two.But this is where it gets fun. If you refer others to Swagbucks, you earn swagbucks when they win too. I've read how some people are able to buy all their Christmas presents with gift cards from Swagbucks. So, what are you waiting for? Start the free stuff rolling! Go to Swagbucks and start searching!

Family Night

My Grandma, me & the kids attempted to go and get the free Grand Slam on Tuesday and I think we probably chose the busiest time. The line was way out the door and right after I parked and started walking with all my kids a guy said I had to move my car. In my mind I am thinking "buddy no one is going to your place when there is something for free" I know I am so rude! Anyway right as we get there the manager is saying how it is a 40 min wait just to get seated and another 20 min to get the food. ARGH, right? But he said if you want he will give a rain check and we can come back anytime. SWEET! He also gave us 2 extra ones. So last night Collin didn't have a meeting and we went to Denny's. It was a lot of fun and I am assuming it was WAY more fun than it would of been on Tuesday. And the best part of all was it was completely free!
Oh and if you live in my area the ValPak has a 2$ coupon for a coffee drink to Cafe Ladro. As far as I can tell you don't have to spend a certain amount. So if you are on the go and don't have your coffee yet...go get a free drip ;)

Amber told her that it would hurt and after she did one ear she would have to do the second ear. She said "how bout you do the second ear first"We been telling the kids that Norah can't have anything to eat because she is to little. Dallas walks in the hospital and get up to look at Norah and says: "I want to see if she has a mouth"In the morning when the kids wake up they come and crawl in bed with us. I was laying on my side talking with Reese. She looked at me and said "Mom...your boobs are hugging" I just laughed. the things they say...

Reese: Hey mom look! She walks just fine and doesn't even need a cane! (we were at costco and she said this about an elderly lady...nice!)
