Lake Wenatchee 2008

One of the highlights of my year is going camping with the Bayleys. I am crossing my fingers that we will keep the tradition going for years to come. I love the fun of getting everything ready and going a road trip with the family and getting to spend time with some of my dearest friends. Although we didn't spot any humpback whales the guys did get in there annual football splashing :) Here are some more highlights of the trip...

Garage Sale Tomorrow

Will I strike it rich??

I'm a big girl now!

We decided it was time to teach Reese to ride a two wheeler because she wouldn't ride her bike because it was to "tippy". The training wheels had to be perfect and if they got the slightest tap out of placement she refused to ride it. Being a strong-willed child, teaching her would either be a great success or a huge failure......I am excited to say that we can say SUCCESS!! She did it in about 2 trys and never looked back. I am still a little worried when that big back crash comes. You know we all have them once in our life. Hopefully that will not stop her from getting back on the horse :) So proud of you Reese!

Loved it!

So my 10 year reunion was this past weekend and I had a blast! It is really neat to catch up with old friends and make some new ones. I have to say that I wish you started high school at age 28. I love the fact that you are not worried about who you are talking to for fear of looking like a geek. There was probably a lot of comparing going on, but overall it was a fabulous time. And lets just say people were SHOCKED/AMAZED that I had 4 kids.

After the reunion my friend Lindsey invited me, Collin and Nick (a guy from school) to go to her in-laws house on Lake Union. The have a VERY nice house over looking the water. Nick was talking about how he got into his position as a Fashion Sales Rep. (not exactly sure of his title). He basically said that he saw an opportunity and took it. Lindsey continued the conversation telling us even if you have an idea that someone else has doesn't mean that you can't run with it. As they were talking I had one of those "ah-ha" moments inside me. I have always had a burning desire to create things. For whatever reason I come up with this ideas and 2 months later they are in the stores. But I think that it is so true with what she said. There are so many dang people in this world that even though there is something similar out there it doesn't mean that you will not be successful at yours. So that leads me to my idea. I am going to try and get my shawls out there. Nick told me where to get some super cute fabrics, so I am SUPER excited! Who knows maybe in 10 more years I will have a really cool story to tell all my classmates ;)

Crunch!

Collin got rear-ended today. Looks like the car is going to get totaled out. ARGH! I am so thankful that he is okay though. Praise the Lord for that for sure! The poor kid that hit him was is 19 and was driving a brand new Camry with the sticker still on it! Pray for him when he tells his parents!

Here is the kids reaction:

Me: Daddy got in a car accident.....

Reese: Oh.....Is he dead? (the way she said it was like choosing between vanilla or chocolate cake)

Dallas: Wow Dad! You crashed in a forest!!

Ava: OOOOOO oweeee!

Lots to be thankful for!!

School

I got a call from the school on Friday. They were letting me know that they got my registration. Yep, I was late. I think that I was hiding in denial as well. I can't believe that Reese is going to Kindergarten!! I am sure that they are going to be many mom tears and fears in this process. But Reese is looking forward to it so that puts my mind to rest a little bit. She will also be going with her Kindred Spirit.....Ellie!

Praise Him!

God has answered a prayer today and forever I will Praise Him!

Psalm 55

Give ear to my prayer, O God,
and hide not yourself from my plea for mercy!
Attend to me, and answer me;
I am restless in my complaint and I moan,
because of the noise of the enemy,
because of the opression of the wicked.
For they drop trouble upon me,
and in anger they bear a grudge against me.
My heart is in anquish within me;
the terrors of death have fallen upon me.
Fear and trembling come upon me.
And I say, "Oh, that I had wings like a dove!
I would fly away and be at rest;
I have come to a place in life where I can honestly say that I have to completly trust in God to overcome. Part of me is thankful that I am here and part of me is like the Psalm and just wishes to be a dove so I can fly away. The title of the Psalm is Cast your burden on the Lord. My burden makes me feel like I am sinking but I am going to do my best to trust that Gods word is so true and that he will carry this one for me.

I ate carrots!"Reese has been wanting her ears pierced. She spent that night at Ambers house and asked her if she could do it. Amber told her that it would hurt and after she did one ear she would have to do the second ear. She said "how bout you do the second ear first"We been telling the kids that Norah can't have anything to eat because she is to little. Dallas walks in the hospital and get up to look at Norah and says: "I want to see if she has a mouth"In the morning when the kids wake up they come and crawl in bed with us. I was laying on my side talking with Reese. She looked at me and said "Mom...your boobs are hugging" I just laughed. Reese: Hey mom look! She walks just fine and doesn't even need a cane! (we were at costco and she said this about an elderly lady...nice!)
