Norah is just a joy to have. Why I shed the tears of having another baby...I will never know. Lately she has been smiling and cooing. One of my favorite stages and it just goes way to fast. I just love you my girl!

A Little bit of Amber.....

Yes Amber I stole your title today ;)

Just thought I would share some of myself with all my friends.....Most of you probably already know this, but just it case it wasn't clear I thought I would share this with you. One of my favorite things in the world is to Garage sale or Sale things. Resently I had a Garage Sale myself so it gave me a little money to change a few things in my house. One of them being my kitchen table. Before we had a white round table with chairs. I love it, but it was too big for our kitchen. After looking for several weeks on craigslist I found this little gem (and for 60$)! And I have to say my kids look adorable sitting in it. Not to mention it gives us much needed space in our kitchen. Boy do I just love a good deal!! One day I will add some cute little cushions to it.....but I think that will have to come after the milk spillin days ;)

Rewind.....

A few weeks ago Reese graduated from Pre-School. I am amazed at how she grew over this last year with Mrs. Amber. Some of you may know that she previously went to Northsound Christian Pre-School (which I would say is more like a daycare). Amber and I got frustrated with so many things that we decided to make a change. That change.....Amber becoming our girls teacher. What a blessing that was. In a matter of weeks Reese learned so many things that took her months at the other school. Reese was also given the award for "Leader of the Pack" Which is so true. It amazes me how quickly Reese with have a flock of kids following her every step. I pray that she will one day lead many to Christ.

So thank you Mrs. Amber for loving and caring so much. You are one gifted teacher.

My Bundle of Joy

Had a baby shower last night to celebrate our little Norah! I felt so blessed to have such great and wonderful friends. Thank you all for loving our family so much.

No more excuses!!

No more excuses!! That is what I am forever going to tell myself. I have been making them for myself for years when it comes to getting into the Word.
This weekend I had the privilege to hang out with a bunch of my ladies from church. We talked about a bunch of things from getting the spark back in your marriage, child rearing, to your passion. All areas which I feel I need work. I have always felt that I struggle with being a good mom because I did not have an example of what a mom should be from my mother. So usually what I do is the opposite of what she did, read a lot of parenting books, or watch and ask what others are doing. I was at the park and telling a gal about how I felt and she expressed having the same problem. She stated that she just went to a parenting class and the pastor said too many people say "I don't know what to do because I wasn't given a good example of parenting" He basically said that you need to be in the Word because God is the perfect parent and he will teach you. How true is that!!
Well this brings me back to my first sentence. I constantly tell myself I don't have time to get into the Word....yada yada! I do however have time to blog...hmmmm. My next excuse would be I do most of my computer stuff when I am nursing so therefore it is justified. Well today is a new day! I have decided to first go to www.Biblegateway.com (because holding the book open is a little difficult for me) and read the Word before I go travel the net. I have also decided to cut myself off from running to the computer so much and choose to interact with my kids although I am nursing a baby.
I asked Reese this morning what she thinks mommy cares about the most? She said "the kids! to kiss and hug them" Although I love this response, I am looking forward to the day when she says "Jesus, Daddy and Us (in that order)"

See How Much I Love You

Several years ago Collin was listening to a radio talk show on AM 820 and this guy was talking about Smileys (see above for definition). Well Collin thought it was such a good idea he would do it with me. This has been a highlight of our marriage for me. There are days when I feel down or overwhelmed and I will look up and find a note or some sort of hidden thing. Here is an example of one I found the other day:

It is hard to see, but in the little square it says "SMILEY Daddy (hearts) Mommy"

Catching up!

So I am playing catch up with my blog today. I have had several times throughout the week that I wanted to blog, but I am holding a baby, doing a puzzle, changing a diaper, cutting coupons, making dinner (thank you to all who brought a meal it helped a ton!), trying to do sitt-ups with a 2 year old bouncing on me, having a garage sale (thank you jackie) and the list could go on......So make sure you spend an extra minute at my blog today ;)
