Yesterday (Thursday) I took the kids for a bike ride around our loop. It was a fun time and I always enjoy watching them ride with excitement. We have a neighborhood where there are kids everywhere! We happened to walk by a few and I noticed that they were pointing at Reese and laughing. It just broke my heart. It reminded me of when I was little and how much people made fun of me. I get so sad knowing that it is possibly going to happen to my little girl and there is nothing I can really do about it. I just pray that she will be able to understand how much God loves her and we love her. I just want to be able to protect her forever. I think that is partly why I want to homeschool. I am so affraid of what kids might say and the influence they will have on her. "God please protect my little girl!"
aww!!! btw I think those are the cutest glasses ever. I was always jealous of the kids that got to wear them!!!
ReplyDeleteI don't want her to grow up either, nor do I want my kids to. It's a disheartening thing knowing there are mean spirited kids out there. And it's unfortunate that they are everywhere... in your neighborhood, private schools, public schools... I guess it's due to living in a sinful world. Praise be to God though, that Reese has Jesus and two parents that are going to shower her with love and show her Christs love. What a blessing it is to know that God loves Reese even more than you, and that she is in His hands. Know matter what you decide - homeschool, public or private, through a lot of prayer, and you and Collin continuing to raise her in the way of the Lord, she is going to get by just fine and, Lord willing, grow to be the godly woman that God so desires.
ReplyDeleteOh and could she be any cuter with those glasses??!!! They are to die for! Love it!
