Answer: Yes and that is a Big F A T YES!
But don't let that scare you away. Because the only reason why you would buy those items is because you get the items you really want for cheap. Making any sense? My battery is dead on my camera otherwise I would show you a picture. But tonight I went shopping and I bought the following:
12 boxes of Kraft Pasta Salad (totally didn't need this, I think that I have about 30 boxes now)
4 boxes of Bagel-fuls
2 lbs Seattle's Best Coffee
Total out of Pocket (OOP): $1.00 What am I saying inside WHOO HOO! Thank you Jesus!
So let me explain a little more in detail just in case you need that :)
they are having a deal at Albertsons if you spend 10$ on certain items they will automatically take 3$ off. So here was my first transaction:
6 boxes of pasta salad (coupon buy 2 get a 1$ off)
1 lb coffee
11$ total
-3 promo
-3 pasta salad
-1.50 coffee coupon
-3 albertsons doubles (in the ad)
=.50 cents (did this twice)
My third transaction was:
4 bagel-fuls
10$ total
-3 promo
-4 1$ off coupons
-3 albertsons doubles
=$0.00
Coupons are great! So all in all I would not of been able to get the coffee for .50 cents if I didn't buy all that pasta salad.

Okay Dallas when you hit the ball you need to run to 1st base, 2nd base, and then home.....no mom! I don't want to go home!Reese was outside singing today while she was on the swing. She pooped 3 times....Oooo....she pooped 10 times mom!!Reese was going to the bathroom and when she was done she looked (as all kids do) and said "oooo, look mom. I ate carrots!"Reese has been wanting her ears pierced. She spent that night at Ambers house and asked her if she could do it. Amber told her that it would hurt and after she did one ear she would have to do the second ear. She said "how bout you do the second ear first"We been telling the kids that Norah can't have anything to eat because she is to little. Dallas walks in the hospital and get up to look at Norah and says: "I want to see if she has a mouth"In the morning when the kids wake up they come and crawl in bed with us. I was laying on my side talking with Reese. She looked at me and said "Mom...your boobs are hugging" I just laughed. She then said "they love each other" The thoughts of a 5 ....and just in case you were wondering. I was wearing a tank top ;)Mom....when I am a mom I will have two kids and then we will have lots of kids at our house!!(And what do we have now...I am thinking)Dallas looked at my blog and the picture of the "barefoot and pregnant""mommy that's you!"Boy do I love that kid ;)My room is usually a mess. Of course I have all the "good" excuses as to why :) Well my surprise when I got home from work was a nice clean room with a made bed.When Reese came and got me this morning she said "Mom your room is Amazing!"

Reese: Hey mom look! She walks just fine and doesn't even need a cane! (we were at costco and she said this about an elderly lady...nice!)

I am certainly intrigued by all you and Amber M. are learning and doing with all this couponing. I'll probably at least consider trying it some this summer in between visits to Idaho and other stuff. One of my thoughts after reading this is that when you do have to buy a bunch of something you don't need or want in order to get a deal on something you do want - that is a perfect opportunity to get a bunch of food for food banks. Blessing others as God is blessing you. Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteWell, it may be things you wouldn't normally buy... but is that just because they cost too much normally? I personally would be thrilled to have 30 boxes of that Pasta salad in my stockpile. They're yummy and great for summer BBQ's and pot lucks!!!

ReplyDeleteAmber- If you go now they might still have them, but the Pasta salad had peelies that if you bought two you get 1$ off. I noticed the store i went to had a lot of them taken off already so don't go to that one ;)
Oh and Amber- I think that is true too. That i probably wouldn't buy it because of the expense.
