"Mommy Madras" [I was thinking as in "Ma-dress" pun-wise although your "Shawl we Nurse" beats it as a pun for sure] because I thought of that name kind of is "ethnic" sounding. Dictionary def.:Madras- A large, brightly colored kerchief, formally worn as a headdress (as in Madras India where they were made)
ReplyDeleteI wonder how important it is to have the name one that someone can say, "Hey, this is my new ____________" ? Not sure... You could also use "Titty Tent", but call it T2 [Like "T squared" where the 2 is small and near the upper right corner of the T and just have the "real" name in small print somewhere to clarify =)] This is fun!
you could have a line of products called num nums and then call it a num num shawl etc..

So cute! Yay for you. I am so not good at names but I have to vote against the Titty tent. I think that would detract from people buying it. I like Shawl We Nurse, Bashful B's or something with bashful and Modest Mama Wraps.
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I am so excited for you! I am usually terrible with naming things...it took me months to name my business! (and then some more after finding out if the name I had chosen was already taken...which it was! Back to the drawing board many times over! =)!) I can't wait to hear what name you come up with!
ReplyDeleteLove it!!! I want to see the back, is it an easy on off kind of thing?? I'm not good with names either...but I'm pretty sure Titty Tent is not the way to go, sorry Collin. It kind of looks like a Moo Moo dress - you know the shapeless things ladies would wear. And hey, nursing moms are similar to cows???!!! MoooooOOOOOOoOO! :)

I hang out on the big beautiful and trying to conceive boards heh...but they have a pregnancy board and I'm sure all those women would appreciate your shawl.
I have a friend who just had a baby and these are the names she came up with: Peekie Poncho, Chic (pronounced sheek) Sheath & Chic & Descrete. My creative cap isn't working lately but I'll let you know if I hear anything else.

ReplyDeleteSomething that occurred to me today. I still like the name "Hideaway" because it is and sounds singular (like the ONE shawl it would refer to)whereas Bashful Boobies is plural (not as clearly describing one object). There's the English teacher perspective on this whole thing. =)
