Give ear to my prayer, O God,
and hide not yourself from my plea for mercy!
Attend to me, and answer me;
I am restless in my complaint and I moan,
because of the noise of the enemy,
because of the opression of the wicked.
For they drop trouble upon me,
and in anger they bear a grudge against me.
My heart is in anquish within me;
the terrors of death have fallen upon me.
Fear and trembling come upon me.
And I say, "Oh, that I had wings like a dove!
I would fly away and be at rest;
I have come to a place in life where I can honestly say that I have to completly trust in God to overcome. Part of me is thankful that I am here and part of me is like the Psalm and just wishes to be a dove so I can fly away. The title of the Psalm is Cast your burden on the Lord. My burden makes me feel like I am sinking but I am going to do my best to trust that Gods word is so true and that he will carry this one for me.
He will carry it Amber, He WILL.
ReplyDeletejust said a prayer for you!
ReplyDeleteAmber,
ReplyDeleteMy sister mentioned to some friends awhile ago about how in the book of Jeremiah God is telling the people that when you trust only in man and turn away from God you become like a wasteland, a parched desert. But then how he goes on to talk about what happens when you trust in God and I thought you could relate and be encouraged by this...
"But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit." Jer. 17:7-8
I pray that you will hang on to the Lord during this time of heat and drought.
Love, Sara
