I always tell myself I can walk away from anything. I don't
HAVE to have it, but if the price is right...sign me up. Saturday I got to enjoy the day doing one of the many things I love about the summer.
Garage Sales. There is something about them that I just get a thrill out of it. I have honestly been this way since I was a little girl. I still remember going to the Mill Creek g-sales with my pocket full of change and leaving with a bundle of goods. In a since I pay people to do my shopping. Only it is a lot less then what they bought it for
:) My first find was this cute little decorative pillow. The color matches my living room perfectly and I was a little nervous because it didn't have a price tag on it. I was nervous because I fell in love with it and was scared that I might have to walk away. Well much to my surprise it was only
25 cents. Sold.
The mirror was my next find. I instantly saw it and new exactly were I was going to put it. Right in my entry way. It has the 1950's feel to me and I thought it was just to cute to pass up. The tag said 3 dollars, but she was willing to go down to 2. Sold.
All in all I spent $5.75 and I got a dress, boots for Norah (which don't fit so they will be given to some other sweet little girl), 10 chalkboard slates, a sleeping bag, 2 winter hats, 1960 leather boots from Italy, a 1953 silk kimono (for my grandmother), a purse, and a cute little outfit for Norah. It was a good day.
