And in case you need to know what May Day is all about

May Day occurs on May 1 and refers to any of several public holidays.[1] In many countries, May Day is synonymous with International Workers' Day, or Labour Day, which celebrates the social and economic achievements of the labor movement. As a day of celebration, however, the holiday has ancient origins and can relate to many customs that have survived into modern times. Many of these customs are due to May Day being a cross-quarter day, meaning that it falls approximately halfway between a solstice and an equinox.

Did you notice the "achievements of the labor movement"? Even more perfect!! I know.....totally out of context but works for me! And it is a day of celebration ;)

Where theres a will theres a way

I am sure we have all heard that saying before, but does it work with having a baby?? From the beginning of my pregnancy I said that I want a May Day baby. I just think that it would be so much fun. So tomorrow is that day.....WILL it happen?? Please pray that it does ;)
God please grant this request because I know that ultimately it is in Your timing and not my own. It would also work great with Collins work situation and not having to take to much time off.

Filled with excitement!!

If you were to come to my house today the kids would give you a play by play of what is going to happen when this baby comes.

"Knock, Knock"
"who is it?"
Lets just say it is our neighbor James who knows none of our friends.
Reese-"Hi! When mommy goes to the hosbital (hospital) I am going to spend the night at Willy's house (Lilly)"
Dallas-"I am going to Brady's house (big smile)!"
Reese-"Ava will go to Amy's to stay with Budgie (Charis)"
James- "oh uh huh" confused look on his face

They have their bags packed and ready to go! Reese woke up and realized she had forgotten to pack her toothbrush....I advised her that you will need to do that when we really "know" the baby is coming.
So ladies I hope that you are ready to take on my kids because they are ready for you for sure!!

Deal or No Deal???

Well I had my doctors appointment and it is a No Deal! He didn't seem to convinced that I am ready to have this baby any time soon. I am barely 2 cm dialated, but he did strip my membranes (the best he could is how he put it). I then convinced him to make one last appointment for Friday so he can do it again ;) I really don't want to be induced so hope it works! Pray for me......I would love to have the baby on May 1st only because I think it would be fun to give him/her flowers ever year.

Nesting

I am officially nesting. Planted my Dahlias, Cleaned out 4 closets and sorted all the toys. I know that most of my hard work will be torn up in a matter of a few days, but it feels good right now. Now I just need to pack my bags and wait for this baby to come. Sad to say I not done one thing to prepare for this child. I think that is partly because I do not know the sex of the baby. So tonight Collin and I are on a mission.

Update on the last post

So last nights dinner overall went pretty well. The one thing that I enjoyed the most is that they were willing to try their food. I gave them a enchilada that was worth 5 points, beans 2 and chips 1. Reese eat about 5-6 bites of the enchilada (which is about a mouse size) so we gave her a total of 5 skittles. Dallas got 7 because he ate the meat out of his. Ava only got 3. Of course she is young and 1 is exciting her ;)

I may be on to something here....

So I am pretty much tired of making dinner and having kids complain about each little thing on their plate. By 10am Reese is asking what is for dinner trying to see if it is something she will like. If not she will try to feed her belly knowing she will not eat dinner. My response has been FOOD! Here is the dinner conversation with Reese:

"Mom are we going to have a treat after dinner?"
"I don't talk about that until dinner is done"
"Okay"
before anything is even eaten off her plate
"How many bites do I have to eat?"
"Reese, just eat and we will talk about it once you have eaten enough"
"Does this have protein mom?"
"Yes..."
"Oh, did you eat chicken when you were a kid?"
"Yes"
"When I am a mom I will eat it"
"Can I be done now?"
"Eat all the vegtables and you can be done"
"Okaaaaayyyyyy" (with a icky face)

This conversation seriously happens every night.

Well last night I thought of an idea. For every whole thing they eat they get one skittle for a treat. We made grilled cheese sandwiches with a side of carrots. Now pretty much any kid would eat that, but not my Reese. So before we even sat at the table I told them the deal. "You have 11 things on your plate and for every one you finish you get 1 skittle" Their response: "Okay" This way they can eat one thing and get a treat, but who can have just one skittle! I have to say that was one of the most fun meals we have had in a long time. We actually got to talk verses it all being about bites. We are having enchiladas tonight, so that should be a real test. But I think that will be worth some bonus points ;) I will keep you posted and see how it goes.

Another one of my ideas

Probably totally inappropriate......but I think it is funny! I was working last night and a guy walked in with a t-shirt that had a big smiley face on it with "Boobies make me smile" At first I thought my goodness does that say what I think it says?? But then the thought occurred to me.......I need a onesie with that on it!! If I ever follow through I will be sure to post a picture. Who knows maybe I got something here~

Ambers Weekly Review

Spreading the news!! So if I like something you are more than likely to hear about it. I was reading my dear friend abbeys blog and saw this wonderful idea which she got from her friend. Apparently you can download the feedreader (you can google it and download it) and you can add everyones link to it. It will then tell you when someone has updated information. When you have kids this cuts your internet surfing into a 1/4 of the time. I set it up yesterday and it works great!
And just one more thing "oh where oh where have my Amber & Heather gone? Oh where oh where can they be?"
I give this 4 1/2 stars!

Amber told her that it would hurt and after she did one ear she would have to do the second ear. She said "how bout you do the second ear first"We been telling the kids that Norah can't have anything to eat because she is to little. Dallas walks in the hospital and get up to look at Norah and says: "I want to see if she has a mouth"In the morning when the kids wake up they come and crawl in bed with us.
