Question: When you are using coupons do you find yourself buying things you normally wouldn't?

Answer: Yes and that is a Big F A T YES!

But don't let that scare you away. Because the only reason why you would buy those items is because you get the items you really want for cheap. Making any sense? My battery is dead on my camera otherwise I would show you a picture. But tonight I went shopping and I bought the following:

12 boxes of Kraft Pasta Salad (totally didn't need this, I think that I have about 30 boxes now)
4 boxes of Bagel-fuls
2 lbs Seattle's Best Coffee

Total out of Pocket (OOP): $1.00 What am I saying inside WHOO HOO! Thank you Jesus!

So let me explain a little more in detail just in case you need that :)

they are having a deal at Albertsons if you spend 10$ on certain items they will automatically take 3$ off. So here was my first transaction:
6 boxes of pasta salad (coupon buy 2 get a 1$ off)
1 lb coffee

11$ total
-3 promo
-3 pasta salad
-1.50 coffee coupon
-3 albertsons doubles (in the ad)
=.50 cents (did this twice)

My third transaction was:
4 bagel-fuls
10$ total
-3 promo
-4 1$ off coupons
-3 albertsons doubles
=$0.00
Coupons are great! So all in all I would not of been able to get the coffee for .50 cents if I didn't buy all that pasta salad.

Sit with me....

So yesterday was the last day for the Albertson's Doubler coupons for this weeks ad. So I decided to take some time Like 3 HOURS and try to get the best deal and buy things I needed. So I was pretty excited to go and get some really good stuff....BUT GUESS WHAT....I get there and most of the stuff I was going to get GONE! Yep all the other coupon ladies snagged it before I could get my greedy hands on it. So what does that mean? Meet sitting in the middle of the store sifting through my millions of coupons to get another good deal. Thankfully I went at night and didn't have my kids with me. But I did bring my husband along and he will probably never come with me again. All in all I got some good deals, but not what I hoped for. So far this month I have spent about 289$ I think this is pretty good considering we have 6.5 people (no I am not pregnant, we have a roommate).
If you haven't looked through the Albertsons ad this week you should. I am going to get a ton of free stuff. Yep don't really need it, but it is free and I am the Queen of Free.

deals, deals, deals

Whew was this week a fun week! I can't even believe all the deals that I scored on. I always love a good bargin!! Picture # 1 cost me .50 cents!! And picture # two cost $29.53 and that is with 6/ 20 oz packages of ground turkey, 5lbs Braeburn Apples, 20 yogurts, & 3 carton of eggs. So yes, you can eat healthy and still coupon ;)
My friend Amber wrote a good post too on some good reasons to coupon. It is well worth the time and the money you save. I pretty much saved $170 this week alone. And yes we needed the stuff. Collin has also been enjoying his alone time while i shop playing video games...so I guess it is a win win situation!
